Capital Market Stabilization Fund-CMSF on Monday organized a webinar for its investors in line with its ongoing program on knowledge management and professional development of CMSF officers.
Dr Rushidan Islam Rahman, Executive Chairperson of Center for Development and Employment Research-CDER gave a presentation on the topic of ‘Industrialization and Employment Growth : Development Experience of Bangladesh’ as the keynote speaker.
CMSF Chairman former Chief Secretary Md Najibur Rahman presided. Dr Mohammad Tarek, Professor of Accounting and Information Systems of Dhaka University gave the opening speech.
He highlighted the current development pattern of Bangladesh and its impact on employment generation.
Dr Mohammad Tarek also highlighted some employment challenges due to the advent of artificial intelligence.
Dr Rushidan Islam Rahman in his presentation described the socio-economic development of Bangladesh over the decades, sector-wise contribution of GDP and percentage of growth.
CMSF Chairman Md Najibur Rahman said that industrialization significantly helps in the development of a nation in terms of GDP, export earnings and employment generation. Bangladesh is now focusing on sustainable development, which is supportive of people and environment.
