Staff Reporter : Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet Division Abu Ahmad Siddiqui NDC said that the current government is working towards the goal of implementing SDG by 2030. This requires an investment of 10 billion dollars; But the government cannot invest so much money. Government will create opportunities for businessmen and businessmen will invest.
He also said that the economy of Bangladesh will soon surpass many European countries. In this case, the private sector should come forward. On the other hand, the government should make investment policies easier.
On Wednesday, September 20 afternoon, the Divisional Commissioner was speaking as the chief guest at the closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the 5-day training workshop on ‘Leather Product Manufacturing’ organized jointly by SME Foundation and The Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Chamber Auditorium.
He said that the current Prime Minister has succeeded in creating Digital Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority-BIDA Sylhet Divisional Office Director Julia Jasmin Milli was the special guest in the event under the chairmanship of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Tahmin Ahmed.
In the speech of the special guest, Julia Jasmin Milli said that the leather goods sector is a very promising sector in Bangladesh. The export income of leather goods is increasing day by day. But the problem is that the products of Bangladesh spoil faster than the products of other countries. The reason should be found and resolved.
Sylhet Chamber Senior Vice President, FBCCI Director Falah Uddin Ali Ahmad, Director Ziaul Haque, SME Foundation Trainer Shakeel Ahmad Raju, Trainee Kites Masood, Shamima Akhtar and Runa Begum spoke on the occasion among others.
Certificates were distributed among 30 trainees on the occasion. Sylhet Chamber Senior Executive Officer Minti Debi moderated the program.
