He also called on the administration, politicians, public representatives, imams, priests, teachers, dignitaries, community police and village police to maintain harmony and work unitedly in all areas with the aim of building Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bangla.
On Tuesday, the DIG was speaking as the chief guest at the social harmony rally organized by Shalla Thana Police at Gramshalla Bazar under Shalla Union of Shalla Upazila.
The rally presided over by Sunamganj District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah and conducted by Additional Superintendent of Police (Derai Circle) Md Abu Sufian. Habiganj Superintendent of Police S M Murad Ali and Shalla Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Advocate Dipu Ranjan Das spoke as special guests in the social harmony rally. Officer-in-charge of Shalla police station Md Aminul Islam gave a welcome speech. Shalla Union Parishad chairman Abdus Sattar Mia and former chairman Abul Leich Chowdhury also spoke.
Earlier, DIG visited the public Durga Puja at Alinagar and expressed satisfaction over the overall law and order situation.
