Free medical amp was organized by Sylhet Chittagong Friendship Foundation in collaboration with Jalalabad Liver Trust and Rotary Club of Dhaka Generation Next and Rotary E Club of 3282.
On the afternoon of Friday, September 29, 400 helpless and poor people were given medical care and medicine in this program organized at Al-Madinah International School, Nawab Road, Ward No. 10 of the city.
Sylhet-Chittagong Friendship Foundation advisor Kaptan Hossain presided over the inauguration ceremony of the free medical camp, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Liver Department and Jalalabad Liver Trust Chairman Professor Dr Mamun Al Mahtab Swapneel as the chief guest.
He said that those who cannot afford to spend money for treatment are given free medical care by Jalalabad Liver Trust.
He urged the rich people of the society to stand by the helpless and the poor.
The special guests on the occasion were Ruhena Khanam Mukta, Councilor of Ward No. 10, 11 and 12, Sylhet-Chittagong Friendship Foundation Goyas Mia Gias, Poet Ayesha Munni, Principal of Al-Madina International School Advocate Moin Uddin and President of Sylhet-Chittagong Friendship Foundation Md. Shahidul Islam.
General Secretary of Sylhet-Chittagong Friendship Foundation Utful Barua conducted and Dr Shahriar Alam Rahi, President of Ragib Rabeya Medical College Chhatra League, Dr Mostakim, President of Osmani Medical College Hospital’s Intern Physician Council, Director of Mahanagar Hospital, Masud Ahmed were also present in the event.
