Habiganj’s former mayor Salim is in one-day police remand

Special Correspondent, Habiganj : Former mayor of Habiganj municipality, district Awami League joint general secretary Ataur Rahman Selim has been granted a one-day remand in the Ripon Sheel murder case during the anti-discrimination movement.
Habiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Fakhrul Islam granted this remand on September 23.
On September 17, RAB-2 arrested Ataur Rahman Salim from Dhanmondi area of the capital. Later, when he was handed over to the police, he was sent to jail through the court as an accused in the murder case of Ripon Sheel and Mostak Ahmed.
