Staff Reporter : The fourth death anniversary of late youth politician Advocate Moinuddin Ahmad Jalal is on Tuesday.
On October 18, 2018, he died of a heart attack during a visit to Shillong, India.
On the occasion of the day, a family doa mahfil has been organized at the village home of the deceased at Dhoradhorpur in South Surma of Sylhet.
Various progressive political organizations will pay floral tributes at his grave at the family graveyard in Dhoradhorpur.
A commemoration will be held at the Sylhet Zilla Parishad Auditorium at 5:30 PM. Besides, the first ‘Jalal Antar’ lifetime award will be given to the progressive veteran politician, brave freedom fighter Barrister Md Arsh Ali.
Various programs have been taken up in Sunamganj too.
Known as brave, modest and philanthropic during his lifetime, Moinuddin Ahmad Jalal was a dedicated worker in the spirit of liberation war to establish a non-communal and democratic Bangladesh. Former central vice president of Bangladesh Jubo Union, former presidium member, former president of Sylhet district and director of international river rights organization Angeekar Bangladesh.
He was a member of Sylhet and Sunamganj bar in legal profession.
He also led the youth movement in the international arena.
Mainuddin Ahmad Jalal participated in 62 international youth festivals in 32 countries of the world.
