Boro Paddy collection program started in Shalla

Habibur Rahman Habib, Shalla : Soon after harvesting the gold crop, the official paddy collection program has started from the farmers in 4 unions of Shalla upazila of Sunamganj.
The program was inaugurated on Tuesday, Tuesday 7 May. Shalla Upazila Parishad Chairman (Acting) Amita Rani Dash, Upazila Executive Officer (Additional Duty) Al-Bashirul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md Abdullah Al Masud Tushar, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Rajib Howlader, Shalla Union Parishad Chairman Abdus Sattar Miah, farmer representative of Paddy Collection Committee Basanta Kumar Baishnab and farmer Subir Sarkar Panna were present.
Shalla Upazila Food Warehouse Officer-in-Charge Md Aminul Haque Chowdhury supervised the rice collection inauguration ceremony.
He said that this time the target of Boro paddy collection in Shalla upazila is 3 thousand 498 metric tons. Each farmer with a card listed in the Agriculture Office can give a maximum of 3 metric tons of paddy.
