Sunamganj district Awami League held a protest meeting against BNP-Jamaat anarchy across the country.
The meeting was held in front of the Awami League office at Ramiz Market in the town on Friday, May 26 morning.
Sunamganj District Awami League President, Zilla Parishad Chairman Nurul Huda Mukut presided over and General Secretary Noman Bakht Palin conducted the protest meeting. Sunamganj Municipality Mayor Nader Bakht, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Abul Kalam, Tahirpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Karuna Sindhu Chowdhury, Shantiganj Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abul Hasnat and District Jubo League Senior Joint Convenor Asaduzzaman Sentu were addrresed in the meeting.
The leaders said that BNP and Jamaat-Shibir are trying to spread violence in the name of movement to unstable the country. BNP-Jamaat says there is no democracy in the country. No right to vote and rice. However, they are criticizing the government by holding meetings freely in every part of the country and speaking freely on various television talk shows.
